THE DRAGON'S PAWN

Years after high school, four estranged friends reunite for one last game of Warriors and Thieves at the request of Chris, who's battling cancer. Through an unexpected twist, they're transported back to 1989 and into their teenage bodies, allowing them to enter the fantasy world of Canaanshade as their beloved characters. What starts as a nostalgic adventure quickly turns ominous as a long-buried secret from their past threatens both the game and their lives.
 

As they immerse themselves in Canaanshade, the line between player and character begins to blur. Each friend slowly slips into their character's consciousness, risking the loss of their true selves. With time running out, they must unravel the mystery of their predicament and find a way back to reality—or risk being trapped in the game forever. What was once a dream come true has become a fight for survival in a world where the stakes are all too real.
